Corona Strong All Day Long

Coronavirus is bringing out so many things to so many people. For me, I realized that I'm not built for prison so I am going to have to minimize my gangsta mentality. If for some reason, I ended up in solitary confinement (i.e. the hole) it would be the end of my mind as I know it.




After being at home working remote for 5 days I called my aunt to thank her for working at a daycare, day in and day out. I mean, think about it, those kids are not even theirs and they actually go back to work the next day. After 5 days of being at home all day and every day with the children, I've resigned 20x, left early, came in late and taken multiple extended lunches. I've hidden in closets, the bathroom, under the table in the dining room, the situation is touch and go right now.

Now as I see that there are so many struggling parents, I think that we should form a support group. However, we will have to limit that group to 10 people if I'm not mistaken and I think we can easily exceed that threshold. We might have to resort to a video call which would defeat the purpose because the persons that are giving us pause would be there. How many work calls have you been on this week, when you hear "mommy I pooped" in your background? Smh.

Sidebar: I'm so glad God only needs 2 or 3 to gather in his name or otherwise we would be really short. You can tell me he isn't omnipotent, he knew that this would happen and made sure that we could still summon him up. Can I get a hallelujah?

Going into Week 2, I can foresee a rise in alcohol sales, heart medicine, anxiety pills, rope, and tape. I think it was rude of Corona to close the schools and daycare. I can't even get a free day if I wanted too. I'm going to see if I can get on a kid swap program with someone. I proposed this idea to someone but they got real quiet and I'm not going to mention Pam's name in this blog because it's not polite to call people out. To make sure that I"m real clear, I mentioned it twice and still nothing.

So for all of you single, childless people, keep the rest of us in prayer. We are struggling in ways that you can't imagine.  Also, feel free to come and get someone's kids for an hour or two. They will greatly appreciate it. Until then people Stay Corona Strong, All Day Long.
