They Had Me At Hello

by Lakisha Cunningham, October 27, 2020

There are few things that get me really excited and good customer service is one of those things. The following events are based on a true story. The names have been changed to protect the privacy of actual persons. :-)

Picture it, Columbia 2020, a young woman sitting in the office with a chair that hurts her back takes destiny into her own hands and orders a chair from Wayfair. She did all the research and discovered that racing chairs were better for long periods of time than premium office chairs so she ordered a vibrating racing chair. It was the envy of everyone in the office.
Fast forward to a fateful day on Oct. 27 and the back of the chair would only lay back in the reclining position and would not sit up. The young woman was perplexed and wondered what to do because she hadn't even had the chair for a full year. She decided to check Wayfair's website to see if the chair had a warranty.
The page for the chair said that it had a commercial warranty but didn't list how long the period. The young woman sent an email describing the problem and decided to let the chips fall where they may. In less than 10 minutes, she received an email saying that they would send a new chair and she did not have to return the old chair. She was very happy with the speed and quality of the resolution and awaits the tracking number that when the new one ships.

Real talk, Wayfair has a customer for life!!
