There Were More Than Two

I find my life going in circles. You don't know how upset it would make me during the height of Black Lives Matter to hear someone say All Lives Matter. You could not get some people to understand that we weren't saying that other's lives didn't matter but instead we were saying that our lives matter as well.
Anywho, I find myself there again almost. If I hear Kobe Bryant mentioned one more time and the other 7 people not mentioned I'm going to scream. I understand that there is notoriety because of his celebrity but it's so disrespectful to the other families. I watched an interview with Matt Mauser, the husband of one of the victims, and it literally had me in tears. My heart also goes out to the siblings that lost both of their parents and their sister in this. I'm also choked up imagining all of those parents trying to comfort their kids in those final minutes, not just Kobe. As a parent, I can't imagine having to do that.
I say all of this to say that we have to stop thinking that some lives are worth more.  It's the same mentality that says a police officer that accidentally shoots someone should not get the same punishment as a private citizen that does the same thing. Even a serial killer, has someone that loved them at some point. When we leave this earth, our death will affect someone and to our loved ones, that matters.
