Laughed Until I Cried Anyway

     Life has wonderful days and then there are the days where everything that can go wrong will go wrong. I've had my share of wanting a day to be over. I'm noticing that when I'm 50 shades of done that my knees become stiff.  I've even had them buckle a few times to my embarrassment. It always happens when I have an audience.         

    A lot of those days for me have food somewhere in them. There is no turning back after wanting a Sara Lee's New York Cheesecake out of the frozen food section, only to realize after getting there that they are out of stock. You leave the store to find another one and you don't have gas. You go to the nearest gas station and the pumps are down and the day continues at this same speed in the same fashion. Everything that you try to do leads to a roadblock.
       Depending on your level of tolerance, you may reach your breaking point faster than others. Personally, I try to save my tears because I have dry skin. The last thing I need is extra ash on my ankles because I decided to be upset about something that was temporary that happened during my day. Yes, you read it right, I said decided. You can't control what happens but you can control your reaction.                             
     My remedy is to laugh. I make funny faces in the mirror, sing loudly out of tune, dance in the mirror, etc.  There is nothing better for self-esteem than to be able to laugh at yourself. It's actually a 2 for 1, your day brightens and you learn not to take yourself too seriously. There are a million and one things that you get the opportunity to be mad, sad, or disenchanted about. Make an effort to lessen the number of negative things and focus on the positive. Laugh until you realize that you are crying anyway but for a different reason. Be Happy!!
